In order to play a Flute, a student must blow a focused stream of air over the hole on the mouthpiece, much like blowing air across the top of a bottle. These instruments require patience and perseverance as well as they have several keys that need to be pressed in order to change the sound. As long as the student can a make sound on the instrument and their fingers can reach all of the necessary keys (and avoid the unnecessary keys), they should be successful with practice.
