French Horn Instructional Videos
Click on the following links to access instructional videos. Students pursuing the French Horn need to be able to vibrate their lips inside of the small mouthpiece to create a sound. As long as they can tighten and loosen their lips to make high and low sounds, they should be successful with practice. French Horns require patience, perseverance, and “a good ear”. This means the student needs to be able to recognize whether the note they are playing is too high or low with ease and should adjust their lips accordingly.
(This version is similar but the rhythms are faster/more complex.)
